Objectives
The participant:
- Receives an introduction into the Agile Tool Chain (ATC) and knows the central information sources.
- Understands the basics and the usage of the ATC.
- Knows the basic functions and the philosophy of Confluence.
- Understands the editor and can use it.
- Gets to know about best practices for Confluence as a project or product tool.
- Learns application possibilities for Confluence in project or product use.
- Understands the configuration of the ATC Jira and can use it in the project or product.
- Can create, edit and search for tasks in JIRA.
- Gets to know the idea behind "Scrum with Jira" and can try it out.
- Learns to use Confluence and Jira in a team.
Content
- The training takes place within the Confluence/Jira instance of ATC (Agile Tool Chain, a group-wide service from FG). In addition to the basic functions of JIRA and Confluence, the configuration of the tools as part of ATC is discussed in particular.
- Introduction to the agile tool chain (ATC Tools, ATC Open Space).
- Confluence basics (functionality, areas and pages, finding information, permissions).
- Confluence as a documentation and collaboration tool: Create and design content.
- Jira and Confluence interplay.
- ATC Jira basics (process types, workflows, roles).
- Create, edit, search for Jira tasks.
- Versions and components.
- Scrum with Jira: backlog, scrum board and sprints (based on an example project).
- Filters and reports.
Target Group
- All Employees with none or less experience in Confluence and Jira.
Good to Know
- Basic knowledge about the agile work.
- If not yet available, the training "Agile Mindset", "Agile Project Management" or the "Scrum Master Role and Certification Training" is recommended.
- For those who work in IT product teams, the training or web based training Agile Working Model (AWM) is recommended.
