HV-2C (Component) - Basic / Qualified person high-voltage. (For HV-2 / HV-3 graduates)

Important
- This training qualifies associates for working exclusively on battery cell and modules. A different course is needed for working on electrified vehicles.
- Please note that participation in the training is only possible with PPE safety shoes (at least "S2")!
- This shortened HV-2C class can only be booked by learners who passed the HV-2 Basic, Advanced or Expert qualification!
Objectives
The participant:
- Can assess the transportability of HV storage devices/cells.
- Can assess HV safety and obtain technical approval for HV components.
- Can work independently and without restriction on battery cells and modules, take measurements and carry out fault diagnostics.
- Can carry out risk assessments and create work instructions.
- Can carry out general measurements, including insulation fault measurement and location.
Content
- Personal basics, electrical engineering basics (current, voltage and resistance, semiconductor technology).
- Basics of dealing with hazardous voltages.
- Practical application of the basics in battery cells and modules.
- Independent work on battery cells and components.
- Theory & practice on dummy battery cells and modules.
- Responsibilities in the HV environment.
- BMW/specific requirements.
Target Group
- Employees who work independently on high-voltage or are responsible for this work. (e.g. workshop manager, functional vehicle manager).
- Employees with little previous electrical engineering knowledge.
Prerequisites
Booking prerequisite:
In order to enrol on this course, you must have completed the following courses:
- HV-1 / Expertly Instructed person High-Voltage(ITEM_46024) and
- HV-2 Basic / Qualified person High-Voltage(ITEM_46025) or
- HV-2 Advanced/Qualified person High-Voltage (ITEM_46026) or
- HV-2 Expert / Qualified person High-Voltage (ITEM_46027).

IMPORTANT: Always state your currently active QX-number! Your learning history from previous QX-numbers must always be transferred to your current QX-number. The transfer is not done automatically; thus, you are responsible for requesting the transfer at itsd-german@bmw.com before you book this training.
Attention: Activation of your BMW ID card required before the start of the course! The course takes place in an area with special access restrictions. Prior activation of access rights based on the BMW ID number is mandatory for participation. It is not possible to enter the training area without prior authorization!
