Objectives

The participant:

• Understands the area of application of ALM Octane in test case management of testing and validation in the E/E area and the structure of ALM Octane.
• Can create test cases and specify test steps in ALM Octane in the context of the basic test management process (connection to the process guide).
• Knows how test execution is planned and done in ALM Octane.
• Knows the reporting and monitoring options in ALM Octane and how to use and adjust the data visualizations.

Content

• Organization of ALM Octane & integration in the tool chain including data synchronization with other tools.
• Basic functions of ALM Octane: views, search, filters, favorites, follow, bulk update, templates, comments, etc.
• Entities: how to create and edit Manual Tests, Test Suites, Test Runs, User Stories, Widgets.
• Workflow of tests in the context of roles and use cases.

• Partners in Test & Assurance E/E.

• Access to the BMW network is required to take part in the training to be able to access all intranet pages shown during the training as well as being able to access our training environment.
