Objectives

The purpose of this training is to align the suppliers with the BMW Group's sustainability vision and targets, and to establish a shared understanding of the sustainability requirements and expectations.

Key objectives include:

• Communicate Sustainability Procedures and Expectations: Clearly explain the company's sustainability procedures, policies, and expectations to the suppliers in an in-depth manner.
• Outline Risk Assessment Process: Provide an overview of the risk assessment process the company uses to evaluate suppliers' sustainability practices and identify areas for improvement.
• Review Sustainability Questionnaires: Walkthrough the sustainability questionnaires suppliers are required to complete, highlighting the key information and metrics collected.
• Explain Audit Methodology: Describe the audit methodology used to verify suppliers' sustainability performance, including the scope, frequency, and corrective action requirements.
• Facilitate Supplier Engagement: Encourage open dialogue and feedback from suppliers to better understand their sustainability challenges and collaborate on solutions.
• Emphasize Continuous Improvement: Stress the importance of continuous improvement in sustainability performance and the company's commitment to supporting suppliers in this journey.
